Description
In 1951, Toshiba produced a manual calculator, an electrical adding machine in 1956, and the first ten-key electrical adding machine in 1961 in Japan. The first model was a 10-digit form of display, and all the circuits, with thousands of components, were primarily transistors and diodes. Toshiba then produced a special condenser memory that is distinct from the others and launched the BC-1411 in November 1966. A calculator that adopted MOS-IC, significantly reduced the number of components and energy consumption, and reduced the weight to about 3.8 kg. He produced a 3-chip LSI computer in 1970, and published a portable calculator with a 1-chip LSI and a 2-power supply device with thousands of parts using a multi-digit fluorescent tube in 1971.
